What most people dont know is that flap created during surgery never really heals, it is held in place by surface tension, and it can be moved accidentally.
I have bad vision and hae glasses i wish i could get lasik surgery to get clearer vison for my future but im kinda nervous and i probably will never get lasik surgery
I got mine around 4 years ago but went back to needing glasses about a year ago idk why it didn't work out for me my brother did the surgery at the same time but his vision is still good. It could be because I was 18~19 at the time but then again I know people who did the surgery around that age and their vision is still good
Had femto smile lasik surgery to fix my short sightedness and heres how it was:
The more comfortable lasik procedure tends to be the one where they use a laser to cut the corneal flap and then another laser to correct the eye sight. No pain, since they use anesthetic eyedrops and lubricant eyedrops that help you not feel the need to blink or itch your eye, before you go into surgery. Scariest parts is the feeling of pressure on your eye as you briefly go blind (you can see your eye sight fade into black.), since your mind panics when it realises the eye is open and youve really gone blind if only for a short moment. That and when you feel them peeling the corneal flap back so the laser has access to the eye, as well as peeling it forward back into place, you can feel them do it which is weird lol. Proceedure takes only like 15 mins but including prep is about an hour or 2. After the surgery you get bedrest to let the flap heal. but you may wake up with very itchy eyes (the lubricant eyedrop wearing off) and because of the eye cover you cannot itch it. Doing so could very well damage your eyes very badly.
In other situations, where there is pain or it doesnt make your eyesight good, the surgery has clearly gone wrong. The surgery is meant to be painless and help with your eyesight not the opposite.
Of course at the end of the day people may have different experiences but this one is my experience and i hope it helps! (I understand some people didnt end up having eyedrops or were put under during surgery)
Whatโs worse for me is that they have to clamp your eye open. You cannot blink whatsoever and I feel like with my luck Iโd try so hard to blink that my eyelids would unhook and my eyes would close while my cornea is cut open lollll

22.04.2024My parents tried to convince me of this, tried looking it up, lost it at cutting the flap in the cornea.
